When everything is changing

If you are navigating more change than you ever expected, career, identity, confidence, menopause, family, location, you are not alone.

How my experience supports your transition

You may be carrying more than anyone realises. The pressure to stay strong, the fear of what comes next, the quiet sense that the life you built no longer fits in the same way. I understand that terrain because I have lived it. After almost three decades in corporate life, including years of navigating reorganisations, redundancy, menopause and the loss of identity that comes with major change, I found myself in a place where nothing felt certain. I called it my chrysalis year, a time of unravelling, listening and slowly remembering who I was beneath the roles.

What emerged was not a reinvention but a return to clarity, calm and confidence that felt like mine again. It is from that place that I now walk beside midlife women leaders who are ready to find their way forward.

Meaningful Transitions and what they could mean for you

When so many parts of your life shift at the same time, it can feel disorientating. You may be questioning who you are without the role that once defined you, carrying the weight of family responsibilities, navigating menopause symptoms that make everything harder or wondering how to make decisions when the future feels uncertain. None of this means you are failing. It means you are in transition, a season where the life you built no longer fits in the same way and something is asking you to change.

Through my own journey and years of supporting midlife women leaders, I have learned that meaningful transitions are not about pushing through. They are about pausing long enough to hear yourself again.

Meaningful transitions require:

  • Reconnecting with what matters now, not what used to matter
  • Listening inward, rather than chasing external validation
  • Rebuilding confidence that has been worn down by pressure, change or uncertainty
  • Honouring your lived experience as wisdom, not something to minimise
  • Rediscovering your visibility, when you have spent years holding everything together for others

This is not about fixing you.  It is about creating space to remember who you are, so you can move forward with clarity, calm and confidence on your terms.

This journey is not meant to be walked alone. There is something uniquely powerful about being in a space with women who truly get it without the need for explanation.

How I support your transition differently

Midlife transitions are rarely tidy. They do not follow a straight line and they do not respond to willpower alone.  The women I work with are often holding demanding roles, caring for others, navigating menopause, managing family dynamics, and questioning their identity, all while trying to stay steady on the surface.  When brain fog makes you doubt your own competence or exhaustion makes the simplest decision feel impossible; it is not weakness or failure, it is your body asking you to listen to it. Thinking your way through it only takes you so far. What you need is space to breathe, to listen inwards and to reconnect with the parts of you that have been drowned out by responsibility and pace.

Twenty-eight years in corporate HR and almost two decades in the energy sector means I already understand the systems you’ve worked within, the politics you’ve navigated, the bias you may have experienced, and the very real financial and career pressures you’re carrying.

My approach brings together the mind, the body and the natural world. It is grounded, practical and deeply human. We work with your lived experience, not against it. We explore stories you have carried for years, the patterns that no longer serve you and the signals your body has been sending but you have not had time to hear. We make room for the truth you have been overriding and we build confidence that feels grounded rather than fragile.

This is not about pushing harder, it is about finding a way forward that feels aligned, sustainable and true to who you are now.

Leading with your Mind, Body and Nature

Most women try to think their way through transition. It is what has always worked, until it doesn’t. When your mind is overloaded, your body is signalling for attention and life feels louder than your own inner voice, clarity becomes harder to reach. This is not a failure of thinking, it is a sign that you need a different kind of support.

I work with the whole of you. Your mind for insight, your body for truth, instinct and signals you have learned to override and the natural world for perspective, grounding and the steadying sense that you are part of something larger than the pressure you carry.

Together, we slow the pace so you can hear yourself again and explore:

  • The stories that have shaped you
  • The patterns that keep you stuck
  • The wisdom that your body holds about what is right for you now

Nature offers a place where you can breathe more deeply, see more clearly and reconnect with your sense of possibility.

This is not about escaping life, it is about returning to it with more clarity, calm and confidence in your own direction.

What my clients say

★★★★★

The women I work with often arrive mid-reorganisation or mid-restructuring, exhausted and unsure. Within months, they are making decisions with conviction, pursuing opportunities they had talked themselves out of, and shaping their next chapter with clarity, calm and confidence.

I am incredibly grateful for the guidance and support I have received from Claire Hunter. Facing redundancy due to a reorganisation, I could rethink my career and future. Claire provided me with numerous tools and insights that have significantly improved my decision-making and option-evaluation skills. I highly recommend Claire Hunter to anyone seeking clarity, growth, and a transformative coaching experience. (Global Supply Chain Lead, Energy Sector)

Working with Claire during my corporate restructuring process was a transformative experience. Her guidance helped me uncover and address the mindset blockages that could have made this challenging period even harder to navigate. Through her support, I was able to recognize my own strengths and abilities, which empowered me to stay focused, motivated, and positive despite the uncertainty. Claire gave me the tools to not only survive this transition but to thrive through it, always reminding me of my potential and keeping my achiever mindset strong. I’m incredibly grateful for her expertise and encouragement throughout this journey. (Industry Advisor, Energy)

Working with Claire was a highly valuable experience in preparation for a career transition. Her guidance in developing clear priorities, exploring alternatives, establishing progressive steps and holding me accountable to goals I set allowed me infinitely higher quality and faster preparation than if I had attempted this process solo. Claire’s professional, skilled and engaging style was honest and kind yet enabled me space to uncover truths and opportunities surrounding my leadership style. She’s helped me unlock potential and accelerate progress for which I’m truly grateful for. I highly recommend her expertise for refining personal leadership capabilities, career planning, executive coaching and leadership team support. (K.T, Chief of Staff, Energy Sector)

Beyond Work

Away from work you will usually find me outside. Long walks, wild places and time in the hills have always been where I make sense of things.

Drawn to the edges

I’m a qualified summer mountain leader and spend as much time as I can on the trails, often with a map in hand and quiet horizon ahead. Being outdoors reminds me to slow down, to pay attention and to trust the steady rhythm of putting one foot in front of the other.

Nature is where I remember who I am. It’s where I listen deeply, reflect quietly, and reconnect with what matters.

It keeps me grounded, practical and connected to what really matters. It reminds me that clarity often arrives when we create space, that confidence grows through small steps and that nature has a way of offering perspective when life feels busy.

Legacy and Impact

For more than twenty years, I have supported young people to build confidence, resilience and a sense of what they are capable of. Much of this has been through the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, where I now serve as a trustee and volunteer leader. I have seen how a single moment of belief can change the direction of a young person’s life.

This work keeps me grounded. It reminds me that confidence grows through every experience, that people thrive when they feel supported and that every stage of life brings its own transitions.

The same principles that help a young person take their first steps also support midlife women leaders as they navigate change and new beginnings.

I believe in walking to the edge of comfort, listening deeply in the unknown, and helping midlife women leaders uncover the confidence, clarity and calm to shape what comes next on their own terms.
